Representatives of the International Nightlife Association meet with the Government of Ibiza

The meeting was held by representatives of the industry from Spain, Italy, and Colombia, and topics related to safety, quality and excellence were discussed

The Government of Ibiza supports the international distinction Triple Excellence that promotes safety and quality in the sector

(IBIZA, SPAIN) May 19, 2022 Representatives of the International Nightlife Association (INA) and member associations in Spain (SPAIN NIGHTLIFE), Italy (SILB), and Colombia (ASOBARES), as well as Ocio de Ibiza (OI) met yesterday with the Consell d'Eivissa. On the employer side, José Luis Benítez, President of the International Nightlife Association and spokesperson for Ocio de Ibiza, Maurizio Pasca, President of the Italian Nightlife Association (SILB) and Vice President of the INA for Europe, Camilo Ospina, President of the Board of Directors of ASOBARES Colombia and Vice President of the INA for Latam, and Joaquim Boadas, Secretary-General of the INA and Spain Nightlife, as well as other members of the board of directors of the Italian Nightlife Association attended the meeting.

On the other hand, President Vicent Marí and Director of Tourism Juan Miguel Costa attended on behalf of the Government of Ibiza, the hosts of the meeting. Within the framework of the meeting, collaborations were put forward between the different territories with trips and visits included to exchange ideas and projects to continue promoting safety, quality and excellence in nightlife and, consequently, continue to attract tourists from all over the world.

The President of Ibiza affirms that the safety and quality seals benefit the Ibizan venues that implement them and also the "Ibiza" brand

The President of Ibiza gave its full support to the main distinctions promoted by the INA, such as now the Triple Excellence in Nightlife which promotes safety, quality and excellence in nightlife, as well as the GastroMoon, which unites quality nightlife with haute cuisine and is promoted by the INA together with the World Association of Chefs’ Societies. President of Ibiza stated that "Everything that involves promoting safety and quality in nightlife will have our support and backing, as this not only means improving the services and image of Ibiza’s venues that implement it in this way as well as for its clients and workers, but it is also a benefit for the Ibiza brand".

On his behalf, Joaquim Boadas, General Secretary of the INA and Spain Nightlife, thanked the Island’s President for his support and stated that "Our main objective is to dignify the nightlife sector and we are doing so by promoting international safety and quality that contributes to the protection and comfort of our clients and workers". The nightlife employer representative wanted to recall the last requirement that the organization is demanding to obtain the International Nightlife Safety Checked (INSC), which is to "Have drink protectors available to those who wish to avoid cases of drink spiking and that is added to the protocol already implemented to avoid cases of sexual assault that goes by the name "Ask for Angela" among other security measures".

Precisely right now in Ibiza, three venues are renewing the Triple Excellence in Nightlife and they are Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, Hï Ibiza and DC-10, while other venues have shown interest in being the first in the Balearic Islands to get hold of a GastroMoon.

INA boosts its fight against sexual assault worldwide

INA includes drink spiking prevention in its safety seal

Venues such as Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza renew their trust in INA and show their compromise towards promoting excellence and safety in nightlife spaces

(BARCELONA, SPAIN) April 27, 2022

The International Nightlife Association’s (INA) main objective is to promote safety, quality, and service excellence in nightlife to increase safety and client satisfaction and at the same time improve the image of the nightlife sector, by offering the necessary tools for nightlife entrepreneurs to gain prestige while continuing to offer a world-class service. For this reason, the INA has decided to boost its fight against sexual assault and drink spiking in nightlife spaces by extending the requirements to obtain the International Nightlife Safety Certified (INSC). INSC is one of the seals that make up the Triple Excellence in Nightlife, the most important nightlife distinction evaluating the safety, quality, and excellence in nightclubs worldwide.

Under the umbrella of the safety seal, as a novelty, the INA has incorporated a new element to prevent drink spiking. Recently the INA has partnered with two companies, NightCap, to offer reusable drink spiking prevention scrunchies and StopTopps, to offer disposable foil lids that will both allow nightlife users to cover drinks.

The World’s Best Clubs renew the Triple Excellence in Nightlife

The Triple Excellence in Nightlife is currently being renewed by venues in the list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs such as Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, Hï Ibiza (Current World’s Best Club), Shôko Barcelona, Bling Bling Barcelona, Shôko Madrid, DC-10 Ibiza, Opium Barcelona, Carpe Diem Lounge Club, and Pacha Barcelona.

On the other hand, other world renowned venues such as Theatro Marrakech (Morocco), Sutton (Barcelona, Spain) Level 27 (Warsaw, Poland), Port du Soleil (Gothenburg, Sweden), Papillon Club (Platja d’Aro, Spain), Bootshaus (Cologne, Germany), and Sala Gold (Málaga, Spain) have recently renewed or obtained the Gold Membership becoming a recommended club of the organization.

Nevertheless, this is not the only measure included in the International Nightlife Safety Certified seal to prevent sexual harassment and sexual assault in nightlife spaces since a few years back we introduced an international protocol to prevent sexual assault known as ASK FOR ANGELA, imported from the UK and which comes from the term Angel.

Specific training for the venue’s staff

The implementation of this protocol also incorporates training for all the staff of the premises since, as has been observed, the role of each nightlife worker as well as their strategic position at all times -even the cloakroom staff-, can be decisive in avoiding sexual assault. For this reason, this training is given by nightlife safety experts to all the venue’s staff accompanied by a practical explanation that helps them to be able to detect this type of situation.

Also among other elements incorporated in this safety seal are cardiac resuscitators, metal detectors at the entrances, a certificate of structural integrity, a coin-operated breathalyzer at the exit, and other safety measures make up the seal.

Camilo Ospina, Vice President of the International Nightlife Association stated, “The future of our industry is dedicated to promoting safety, quality, and excellence in nightlife venues and do so through the international seals by showing our commitment to these matters and the community”.

Joaquim Boadas, Secretary-General said, “It’s an honor and a cause for celebration to see that international renown clubs renew the international seals, serving as an example for other venues to follow and contributing to the improvement of the image of the global nightlife industry. The nightlife industry is truly demonstrating its commitment to safety, quality, and excellence”.

E11EVEN, in partnership with Horizen Labs, today announced the launch of E11EVEN Crypto, a new division of the rapidly growing E11EVEN empire. Together with Horizen Labs, a leading Web3 tools and blockchain development company, E11EVEN will create various NFT collections starting with the 11 Captain's Club on the Ethereum blockchain. The 11 Captain's Club will be an exclusive series of 10,011 NFTs, featuring E11EVEN's coveted hats.

"NFTs are revolutionizing the way art, access, and membership are distributed and monetized. As one of the world's top entertainment venues that places itself at the heart of popular culture, E11EVEN is committed to bringing the most innovative physical and digital experiences to our guests," said Michael Simkins, CEO of E11EVEN Crypto. "We believe the Horizen Labs team has the perfect mix of technical expertise and industry knowledge to help us bring the blockchain and crypto revolution to our in real life nightlife venues."

The E11EVEN name is already well known in the crypto world. In April 2021, E11EVEN Miami became the first major nightclub in the United States to accept cryptocurrency and has since processed over $5 Million in (crypto) transactions. In June 2021, E11EVEN Hotel & Residences became the first condo project in the US to accept cryptocurrency as payment for pre-construction sales. In December 2021, E11EVEN got into the NFT space when they purchased Bored Ape #11.

When E11EVEN set out to launch a crypto division, the team sought a partner in the space to bring their vision and goals to life. They selected Horizen Labs to help make their vision a reality. Horizen Labs is in partnership with many key players in the NFT and Web3 worlds, including the Bored Ape Yacht Club. E11EVEN Crypto and Horizen Labs will work synergistically to launch the 11 Captain's Club NFT series. After the initial NFT release, Horizen Labs will continue consulting with E11EVEN Crypto to identify and integrate new functionality into 11 Captain's Club NFTs and assist in building the roadmap.

"We are excited to collaborate with the E11EVEN team on their vision to explore a Web3-based promotional campaign using NFTs as a way to digitally authenticate exclusive offerings, which are an essential component to the nightclub experience," said Rob Viglione, CEO of Horizen Labs and Co-founder of Horizen. "The Horizen Labs team is always eager to bring our expertise to work on projects that appeal to mainstream consumers and help integrate blockchain innovations to different use cases. We see E11EVEN as a great partner in achieving this objective."

Since opening the doors in early 2014, E11EVEN MIAMI has catapulted the South Florida nightlife scene to incredible new heights. In 2019, the landmark destination established itself as the highest-grossing nightclub per square foot globally, further establishing its presence as one of the most sought-after clubs in the world.

Led by Dennis DeGori, Michael Simkins, and Marc Roberts, E11EVEN Partners have grown the E11EVEN brand into a top hospitality, lifestyle, and entertainment company with a portfolio that currently includes E11EVEN MIAMIE11EVEN HOTEL & RESIDENCESE11EVEN Life (an apparel & hat line), E11EVEN SOUND by DAS Audio, and E11EVEN CRYPTO.
