Hï Ibiza named "The World's Best Club" 2019 for second consecutive year

BOGOTA, COLOMBIA 11/14/2019

Hï Ibiza was named “The World’s Best Club” 2019 yesterday evening in Bogotá (Colombia), thus obtaining the highest recognition of the five continents who have entered the prestigious list confectioned annually by the International Nightlife Association honoring excellence in nightlife. The award was collected by Charlie Tatman, Operations Manager of Hï Ibiza.

Followed by Cavalli Club Restaurant & Lounge Dubai who came in second place and in third place Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel.

The list of "The World's 100 Best Clubs" 2019 is made up of clubs from 34 different countries, Spain being the country that has contributed the most venues to the prestigious list with 22 venues, followed by the United States that has contributed 21 and in third place, Italy which has contributed 4 clubs.

The list of The World's 100 Best Clubs, is made up of the combination of a 30% public  vote via an online voting platform and 70% is decided by a professional jury who select the best venues around the world. 

 

Spain leads the list followed by the United States

Spain with 22 venues, is the country with the most venues on the list, followed by the United States with 21 venues. Other countries that have contributed venues to the list are Italy with 4 and the UK, BrazilNetherlands and Colombia with 3. 

The city with the most venues, winning public recognition according to The World's 100 Best Clubs 2019 list is Ibiza with 9 venues followed by Las Vegas with 8. The Balearic Islands bring names such as Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, Hï Ibiza, DC10, Ibiza Rocks, Pacha Ibiza, O Beach Ibiza, Heart, Blue Marlin Ibiza, Octan.  Las Vegas also remains strong on the list with Omnia, Hakkasan, KAOS, Marquee, Drai's, XS, Encore Beach Club, and TAO.

Other territories highlighted for their nightlife offer are New York, Miami, Paris, Marrakech, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Abu Dhabi, Los Angeles, Rimini, among others.

Other categories awarded with a Golden Moon Award

Hakkasan Group from Las Vegas was awarded “Best Nightlife Business Group" 2019 for the numerous venues they have worldwide, a venue concept that embodies nightclubs, dayclubs and restaurants. 

Secondly, The Mayor of Bogotá received the international award for the “Best Government Supporting Nightlife” 2019 for the implementation of the “Sello Seguro“ brought to life in Bogotá's nightlife venues. Pedro Franco, Director of the Sello Seguro, picked up the award. 

The Golden Moon Award for the “Best Awareness Raising Campaign" 2019 was given to the Barceloneta Beachfront Association for being the first venues to implement the protocol against sexual harassment in the field of nighttime entertainment under the name "Ask for Angela". The award was picked up by David López, President of the Barceloneta Beachfront Association.  When it comes to the Best Nightlife Executive 2019, Yann Pissenem CEO and Founder of The Night League was acknowledged for his hard work in shaping the modern clubbing landscape of Ibiza and for being behind some of the world's best club brands. 

As for the Golden Moon Award for the "Best in Nightlife and Technology" 2019 Rick Alfaro has set the standard for innovation, the CEO of The Earthnauts received the award on stage.

Lastly, the Golden Moon Award for the “Best Action in Defence of Nightlife Prestige” was awarded to E11even Miami for the numerous actions involving the local community in the framework of "E11even Gives Back". The award was picked up by Eddie Franco, Marketing Director of E11even Miami

6th International Nightlife Congress

Yesterday the 6th International Nightlife Congress came to an end, this year for second consecutive year the event was held jointly with the 6th edition of the Expobar Fair. Both events have addressed topics of great interest to the industry such as holograms, live streaming, robotics and other new technologies applicable to nightlife. The congress closed with the panel that explained the new certification that fuses haute gastronomy and nightlife under the name GastroMoon.
